Transformative Education Forum, United NationsGeneva, Switzerland, May 2010Kristen von Hoffmann, founder of Greenfox Schools, was invited as a global ambassador to the U.S. Mission (United Nations) in Geneva, Switzerland for the Transformative Education Forum planning meeting. She presented the Greenfox5 sustainability model and spoke about the equal importance of social and emotional education in academia, also noting the importance of the child's perspective when transforming education through teacher training, policy initiatives, and curriculum. *Click here to learn more about the

Mayor's Green CommissionCambridge, Massachusetts, Winter 2010Cambridge City Mayor Denise E. Simmons invited Kristen von
Hoffmann onto the Mayor’s Green Commission, where she presented on the
Greenfox5 model to a dynamic group of Cambridge invitees. The committee
gathered to assess current sustainability initiatives and plan for future
programs.

Commission. Environmental Working Committee, City Councillor DeckerCambridge, Massachusetts, Fall 2009-Spring 2010Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker assembled an
Environmental Working Group Committee to work on implementation of
environmental education programs in the City of Cambridge youth centers.
Working with a group of local students, residents, and councilors, the group
worked to develop curriculum and a plan for implementation. Kristen presented
on the Greenfox5 model and worked on program structure and curriculum.

Council Educator’s Summit in Boston, Massachusetts. There she met up with
keynote speaker Dr. Debra Rowe, and sat with Dr. Rowe and a group of
participants to brainstorm how sustainability education can be implemented on a
national level. Subsequently, Kristen was invited to be on the K-12 Steering
Committee for the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development
founded by Dr. Rowe.

(extras for creative learning), Kristen von Hoffmann presented a keynote speech
at the fundraiser for ExCL called “Lemons to Lemonade” on Beacon Hill.

D2E (Down to Earth)Boston, Massachusetts, April 2008 Camille Stevens and Kristen von Hoffmann presented Greenfox Schools curriculum at the event, showcasing model-sized school buildings that 5th grade students had designed using LEED-certified standards and recycled materials.
